Museum Schloss Moyland is a nationally and internationally important museum with a comprehensive collection of 20th and 21st century art. Its center is the large collection of works by the important artist Joseph Beuys, supplemented by other important artistic positions of modern and contemporary art, built up by Hans and Franz-Joseph van der Grinten. With special exhibitions and collection presentations the house strives for an opening to social questions as well as cultural techniques, media and topics of the present. Among these, the representation of social diversity, taking into account the equality of female and male artists and a range of possible identities, is to be particularly emphasized. The more intensive inclusion of digital media is part of this new orientation.
